Unemployed workers are being punished

I am really angry- I was in a good paying job, then I was laid off in 2008 and became one of the thousands of unemployed workers. My financial future was totally out of my control. Like everyone else I fell behind on payments and some I could not even pay. I am being punished by the banking institutions because my credit score fell hundreds of points and its so low that I am considered a risk. Now they will not let me open a checking account!

I have a job finally and I am trying to climb back up out of this hole I was thrown in. Talk about hitting you when you are down!! How do they expect us to re-establish ourselves when they don’t help us.

Problems with cell phone carriers

T-Mobile has a Flex plan but beware ,because what the contract states and and when you receive your bill it is totally different. Has anyone had problems with T-Mobile and there billing ? My contract states one thing and my bill is stating another. I think T-Mobile should have their own reps. in stores when dealing with there service plans. Something needs to be done to protect consumers from these large companies who make millions from us. I would like to hear from anyone who has had a problem with T-Mobile. Please feel free to comment.

Passing a school bus

I am on the Florida roads daily and I am amazed at the drivers that pass a school bus with its red lights flashing. Don’t they care? Either for the children that are boarding or exiting the bus, or their own license? Is it only down south that these drivers are so careless and just are too much in a hurry to stop?

The penalties are stiff if convicted ,and the driver will not only get hit in their wallet but can lose their license for up to 30 days.

Something to think about when you are passing a school bus with flashing red lights on.

Animal Cruelty

Maryann, Our Puppy Mills team has been working hard in the months since that exposé was released, and today reveals disturbing new revelations about Petland.

The investigation revealed at least two Petland stores in Florida, the Orlando East and Largo stores, still buying puppies from the facility linked to Kathy Bauck, who was convicted on three counts of animal torture and one count of animal abuse in March. We also found some Petland stores still buying from at least two other puppy mills that we filmed and identified as part of our initial investigation.

Our team conducted an intensive six-month search of public records in multiple states and tracked shipments of puppies from massive commercial brokers to more than 95 percent of Petland’s domestic stores. We revealed once again that the store chain is misleading customers about dealing with a special selection of breeders. Instead, Petland’s franchisees buy most of their dogs from puppy mills either directly or indirectly through large-scale wholesalers, like Hunte.

This deceptive behavior continues to harm both animals and consumers. More than 600 people who purchased dogs from Petland have already contacted us about the class action lawsuit Petland is currently facing. If you haven’t already, please tell us your story if you bought a puppy from Petland.

We’ll continue to keep the pressure on Petland to join other national pet store chains that refuse to sell dogs from puppy mills, until the company does the right thing for animals.

The Power Of Positive Thinking

Are you a positive thinker? Is your glass half-empty or half full? This simple question and how you answer it can give you a glimpse into your personality. Are you an optimistic or a pessimist? Your attitude will greatly affect your outlook on life.

Being positive or negative can affect your health and well-being. Thinking positively can obviously make your life a lot easier, and I am not saying to put your head in the sand and ignore the problems that you encounter, but do not let your emotions run away with you. Take a deep breathe, recognized that there is always a solution and let the emotions go.

Renter;s rights in foreclosure

The Consumer Action Group is happy to share to renters there rights when renting a home that is going into foreclosure. President Obama signed the Protecting Tenants Act of 2009 into law on May 20. Renters are now allowed to stay in their homes for the duration of their lease even if the home is going into foreclosure.

Renters will be given a minimum of 90 days notice before a tenant has to move from the property. If a buyer is purchasing the property as his primary home, and/or the tenant has a month-to-month lease or no lease at all the tenant is still entitled to 90 days notice.

Menopause

Moody swings, hot flashes, weight gain, low sex drive. These are just some of the symptoms of menopause. Menopause is a very natural and important occurrence in a women’s life. Most women experience some of these symptoms soon after reaching 40 and are in this stage for a good part of there life.

Interestingly enough about 70% of women experience these symptoms and this is part of the aging process. Now peri-menopause starts years before you even stop having your period, you can start to experience those nasty mood swings, hot flashes, and loss of sex drive.

Menopause means that you will not menstruate any more. You can no longer become pregnant and many women feel freer and actually enjoy sex more with their partner. That nagging fear of pregnancy is gone.

Okay fellas I guess you think that you know all about arousing a woman and do not need any advice. Well let me just say that this is about sex mistakes men make. Yes, I know, you are an experienced lover and you never had any complaints in that department, at least none voiced. However, unlike men women feel and react differently when making love.

Now I am sure that most men have learned there “technique” from on hands experience or through trial and error or taking some tips from what they see on the movie screen but lets get real here. Body Scans At Airports

What do you think of the Transportation Security Administration plans to use a body scan image of travelers for security purposes. This Whole Body Imaging is a very detailed image of a person naked. The TSA was originally using this system as a backup but now they have decided to make it their primary screening tool.

The TSA has already instituted this whole body imaging system and it happening at 19 airports throughout the United States. This is a very invasive procedure and travelers should be given an alternative. Presently they are using a pat down procedure.
